Alaskan Way and Elliott Way Construction Engineering

Waterfront Seattle
Seattle, Washington
Exeltech provided structural design services and prepared concrete formwork plans for fascia walls, pre-cast concrete girder bracing and lift checks, and bridge abutments being constructed on Alaskan Way and Elliott Way (S King Street to Bell Street) in the footprint of the former Alaskan Way viaduct. The project is part of the City of Seattle’s Waterfront Seattle Program, a $728-million, multi-year investment in rebuilding the City’s central waterfront.

Exeltech’s designs met the requirements of the AASHTO Guide Design Specification for Bridge Temporary Works, 2nd Edition; 2018 WSDOT Standard Specifications; 2012 APA Concrete Forming Design/Construction Guide; and City of Seattle Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2017 Edition.
